Check Collecting Status

I was recently informed by a knowledgeable rockhound that many of the sites (especially in southern Utah) do not allow collecting of any kind. I had heard previously that you could take small amounts of material, but now I hear that National Parks and Monuments are actively enforcing a No-Collecting policy. Any sites in Canyonlands or Escalante (such as the Moqui Marbles locations) are now off-limits. So check the collecting status for any sites you visit, before you take anything home. I don't want anybody to get arrested.
